1 Chronicles 27:20
Aceh Language (Alkitab HABA GET)
What Does This Mean?
This verse lists two leaders from the tribes of Ephraim and half of Manasseh. Hoshea son of Azaziah leads Ephraim, and Joel son of Pedaiah leads the half tribe of Manasseh. It's part of a larger list of leaders for each of the tribes.
Explained for Children
Imagine a big family meeting where each group of cousins has a leader. In this case, Hoshea is the leader for the Ephraim cousins, and Joel is the leader for part of the Manasseh cousins. It's like having team captains for different parts of a big family.
Historical Background
1 Chronicles was written after the Israelites returned from exile in Babylon. The author is believed to be a priest or someone with access to historical records. The book lists genealogies and leaders to remind the people of their heritage and organization.
Living It Out Today
In a modern context, think of a community organizing a big event. Different subgroups might have leaders who help coordinate activities. Just like in the verse, these leaders ensure everyone works together smoothly.
