What Does This Mean?
Paul is speaking in this verse and says that a crown of righteousness awaits him because he loves Jesus and follows Him faithfully. He believes that all who love to see Jesus return will also receive the same reward.

Imagine you have a big race where if you finish, you get a shiny gold crown for being so brave and strong! Paul says he’s going to get this special prize because he loves Jesus very much. And guess what? Everyone else who loves Jesus will get one too!
Historical Background
This verse is from the letter written by the apostle Paul to his young friend Timothy around 67 AD, towards the end of Paul's life when he was in prison and facing execution. The audience consisted of Timothy, a Christian community leader, who needed encouragement.
