Exodus 4:6
Amharic Tigrinya 2011
What Does This Mean?
In this verse, God tells Moses to put his hand inside his cloak. When Moses takes it out, his hand has become leprous like snow. This is a powerful demonstration of God's control over Moses's body and a sign of God's power.
Explained for Children
Imagine if your mom or dad could make your hand turn white like snow just by touching it. That's what happened to Moses. God showed him this to prove that He can do amazing things and that Moses should trust Him.
Historical Background
Exodus was written by Moses around 1446-1406 BCE. The audience was the Israelites who had been enslaved in Egypt and were about to be freed. This miracle was meant to reinforce Moses's role as a messenger of God and to prepare him for leading the Israelites out of Egypt.
Living It Out Today
In modern life, this verse can remind us of the power of God to transform situations. When facing a difficult challenge, we can trust that God has the power to change it, just like He changed Moses's hand.
