Genesis 47:4

ثُمَّ قَالُوا لِفِرْعَوْنَ: «جِئْنَا لِنَقِيمَ كَغُرَبَاءٍ فِي الأرْضِ. إذْ لَا يُوجَدُ مَرعَىً لِمَوَاشِي خُدَّامِكَ، لِأنَّ المَجَاعَةَ قَاسِيَةٌ فِي أرْضِ كَنْعَانَ. فَاسْمَحْ لَنَا، نَحْنُ خُدَّامَكَ، بِأنْ نَسْتَقِرَّ فِي أرْضِ جَاسَانَ.»

ما معنى هذا؟

In this verse, Jacob's sons speak to Pharaoh and explain that they have come to Egypt to find pasture for their flocks because of a severe famine in Canaan. They request permission to settle in Goshen, a part of Egypt with suitable land.
