ورَأَتِ المَرأَةُ أَنَّ الشَّجَرَةَ طَيِّبَةٌ لِلأَكْلِ ومُتعَةٌ لِلعُيون وأَنَّ الشَّجَرَةَ مُنْيَةٌ لِلتَّعَقُّل. فأَخَذَت مِن ثَمَرِها وأَكَلَت وأَعْطَت أَيضًا زَوجَها الَّذي مَعَها فأَكَل.
