وَلَمَّا جَاءَ رَحُبْعَامُ إِلَى أُورُشَلِيمَ جَمَعَ كُلَّ بَيْتِ يَهُوذَا وَسِبْطَ بَنْيَامِينَ، مِئَةً وَثَمَانِينَ أَلْفَ مُخْتَارٍ مُحَارِبٍ، لِيُحَارِبُوا بَيْتَ إِسْرَائِيلَ وَيَرُدُّوا ٱلْمَمْلَكَةَ لَرَحُبْعَامَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ.
