حِينَئِذٍ، اندَهَشَ نَبُوخَذْناصَّرُ وَقَفَزَ مُسرِعاً وَقالَ لِمُرافِقِيهِ: «ألَمْ نُلقِ ثَلاثَةَ رِجالٍ مُوثَقِينَ إلَى الفُرنِ؟» فَأجابُوا: «نَعَمْ، هُوَ كَذَلِكَ أيُّها المَلِكُ.»
