فَأتَى اللهُ إلَى بَلعامَ، فَقالَ بَلعامُ للهِ: «قَدْ نَصَبْتُ سَبعَةَ مَذابِحَ، وَقَدَّمْتُ ثَوراً وَكَبْشاً عَلَى كُلِّ مَذبَحٍ.»
