فقالَ الرّبُّ لموسى وهرونَ مُؤنِّبا: «بما أنَّكُما لم تُؤمِنا بـي إيمانا يُظهِرُ قداستي على مَرأى بَني إِسرائيلَ، لذلِكَ لا تُدخِلانِ أنتُما هؤلاءِ الجماعةَ إلى الأرضِ الّتي أعطَيتُها لهُم.
