وقال إيليا للملك: «هذا ما يقوله الرب: من حيث أنك أرسلت مبعوثين لتستشير بعل زبوب إله عقرون وكأنه لا يوجد إله في إسرائيل لتسأله، فإن السرير الذي رقدت عليه لن تنهض عنه، بل حتما تموت».
