فأحاط الأقطاب والولاة والحكام وعظماء الدولة بهم، فوجدوا أن النار لم تؤذ أجسامهم، ولم تحترق شعرة من رؤوسهم، ولم تشط ثيابهم، ولم تعلق بهم رائحة النار.
