فأجابهم زربابل ويشوع وسائر رؤساء عشائر إسرائيل: «لا شأن لكم معنا في بناء هيكل إلهنا، وإنما نحن وحدنا نبني هيكل الرب إله إسرائيل، بموجب أمر الملك كورش ملك فارس».
