وَلَمَّا رَأَى عِيسُو أَنَّ إِسْحقَ قَدْ بَارَكَ يَعْقُوبَ وَصَرَفَهُ إِلَى سَهْلِ أَرَامَ لِيَخْتَارَ مِنْ هُنَاكَ زَوْجَةً، وَأَوْصَاهُ قَائِلاً: «لاَ تَتَزَوَّجِ امْرَأَةً كَنْعَانِيَّةً»
