John 3:9
Berber Morocco and Algeria - Tachelheit Bible (RBD) (aåaras n-tudrt - injil l-lmasiæ - løhd l-ljdid lli-iskr rbbi å-gras d-bnadm)
What Does This Mean?
Nicodemus asks Jesus how the things he talked about can happen. This shows that Nicodemus was confused and needed further explanation from Jesus.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're learning to ride a bike, but someone tells you that one day you'll fly it like an airplane. You'd be very surprised and ask, 'How can I do that?' That's how Nicodemus felt when Jesus talked about spiritual things he couldn't understand right away.
Historical Background
John wrote this Gospel around the end of the first century AD for a broad Christian audience, mainly Gentiles. The setting is Jerusalem where Nicodemus, a respected Jewish leader, comes to Jesus under the cover of night to question him.
Living It Out Today
When you encounter new spiritual concepts that seem hard to believe or understand, like how forgiveness can change someone's heart, ask God for more insight and understanding, just as Nicodemus did with Jesus.
