Revelation 8:10
Berber Morocco and Algeria - Tachelheit Bible (RBD) (aåaras n-tudrt - injil l-lmasiæ - løhd l-ljdid lli-iskr rbbi å-gras d-bnadm)
What Does This Mean?
This verse describes a third angel sounding a trumpet and a great star falling from the sky, burning like a lamp. The star falls on one-third of the rivers and springs, causing harm. This is part of the sequence of events leading up to the end times.
Explained for Children
Imagine if a big shiny star fell from the sky, like a giant firefly, and landed in some of our lakes and streams. It would change how we use water. That's what this verse talks about, but it’s part of a bigger story about things that will happen at the end of time.
Historical Background
The book of Revelation was written by John around 96 AD. It is believed to have been addressed to seven churches in Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey) as a message from Jesus through an angel, providing them with hope and guidance during their persecution under Roman rule.
Living It Out Today
In today’s world, this verse can remind us of the unpredictability of life and natural disasters. Just like people might prepare for floods or droughts, we should be spiritually prepared for changes and challenges that may come our way.
