Exodus 7:7
Cebuano RCPV 1999 (Ang Bag-ong Maayong Balita Biblia)
What Does This Mean?
This verse tells us that Moses was 80 years old and Aaron was 83 when they first spoke to Pharaoh about letting the Israelites go. It shows that God can use anyone, regardless of their age, to do His work.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're playing a game where you have to convince a big, grumpy bear to share his honey. Moses and Aaron were like that, but with a real king. They were old grandpa and grandma age, but they did it anyway!
Historical Background
The Book of Exodus was written by Moses, around 1446 BCE. It was written for the Israelites, describing their journey from slavery in Egypt to freedom in the Promised Land. This verse gives us a clear timeline of when the events took place.
Living It Out Today
Today, a retired couple might start a community garden to help feed the hungry in their neighborhood. Just like Moses and Aaron, they show that age doesn’t limit one’s ability to make a difference.
