Revelation 20:13
Czech SNC
What Does This Mean?
In this verse from Revelation, the sea and death give up all the dead for judgment. Each person will face judgment based on their deeds in life. This is part of John's vision of future events.
Explained for Children
Imagine a big swimming pool full of toys. When it’s time to clean up, all the toys come out so you can sort them and put them away. In this story, the sea gives back everyone who died, and they are judged on what they did when they were alive.
Historical Background
The Book of Revelation was written by John around AD 96 during a time when Christians faced persecution. The message was intended to encourage believers enduring hardship by promising ultimate justice and salvation.
Living It Out Today
This verse reminds us that our actions matter. We should act kindly and justly, as we will be judged on what we do in life, not just what we say or believe.
