German (Die Heilige Schrift (Schlachter 1951))
Was bedeutet das?
In this verse from Zechariah 10:8, God says He will call out to His people and gather them together because He has redeemed them. The promise is that their numbers will grow as they have grown before.
Für Kinder erklärt
Imagine you lost some of your favorite toys in a big box. Your mom or dad might make a special sound to get the toys' attention, then help you find all of them and put them back together again. God does something like that with His people, promising He will gather everyone together just as He has done before.
Historischer Hintergrund
Zechariah was one of the last prophets who wrote after Israel returned from exile in Babylon around 520 BC. Zechariah's message was to encourage the returning exiles by assuring them that God would restore and protect His people, promising their numbers would grow again as they had before.
Anwendung für heute
Think about a community garden where members are scattered but then come together for planting season. This verse encourages us to remember that when we gather in unity under God's guidance, our communities can flourish and grow just like the plants in the garden.
