Explicado para niños
Imagine you're at school, and your teacher (Jesus) finishes class and goes home with one of your friends (Simon). At their house, the friend's grandma isn't feeling well because she has a really bad fever. Your friend asks if you can make his grandma feel better. That’s what this verse is about.
Contexto histórico
Luke wrote this Gospel in the late first century to a Greek-speaking audience. The cultural setting was one of synagogues and homes where community and family life were intertwined, and healing miracles by Jesus were significant events that affirmed His ministry.
Aplicación para hoy
This story can remind us to be attentive to the needs around us, especially those closest to us like family members or friends who might need help. Just as Jesus immediately responded to Simon’s request for his mother-in-law's healing, we too can respond promptly to the needs of others.
