1 Corinthians 3:5
Estonian EEP
What Does This Mean?
In this verse from the Bible, Paul is asking who he and Apollos really are in terms of importance to the Corinthians' faith. He says they are just servants through whom people believed, all according to God's plan.
Explained for Children
Think about it like this: imagine you're learning to ride a bike with help from two different coaches. Both coaches teach you, but ultimately, you learn because you want to and try your best, not because of the coaches alone.
Historical Background
The Apostle Paul wrote this letter around AD 53-54 to the Christian community in Corinth, Greece. He was addressing divisions among believers who were following different leaders as their favorites rather than focusing on Christ.
Living It Out Today
Today, it might apply when people focus too much on church leaders or pastors instead of the teachings and guidance from Jesus himself. It reminds us that all followers are just servants doing God's work.
