Jeremiah 30:15
Hebrew Bible Modern 1977
What Does This Mean?
This verse from Jeremiah is God speaking to the people of Israel, telling them that their suffering is due to their many sins. God says that because of their actions, He has brought these troubles upon them.
Explained for Children
Imagine if you kept breaking rules and your parents kept warning you, but you didn't listen. One day, you might get into big trouble because you ignored all the warnings. This verse is like that, but with God warning His people.
Historical Background
Jeremiah, a prophet of God, wrote this around 600 BC. He was speaking to the people of Judah, warning them of the consequences of their actions. At the time, the people were disobeying God and facing the consequences.
Living It Out Today
If someone keeps making the same mistakes in their life, like lying or cheating, and doesn't change, they might face serious consequences, just as the verse suggests. It's a reminder to listen to warnings and change our ways.
