Izráel népe ezt a két királyt győzte le a Jordántól keletre: Szihónt, az emóriak királyát és Ógot, Básán királyát. Országaikat elfoglalták, és birtokba vették a Jordántól keletre fekvő egész síkságot az Arnón-pataktól egészen a Hermón-hegységig.
