Revelation 14:7
Armenian Eastern Bible 1994
What Does This Mean?
An angel is speaking loudly and telling people to fear God and give Him glory because the time for His judgment has come. The message also encourages worshiping God, who created everything including heaven, earth, sea, and water sources.
Explained for Children
Imagine an angel shouting really loud: 'Be afraid of God and praise Him a lot! It's time for God to decide what is right or wrong. Remember, God made all the things around us - like the sky, land, oceans, and rivers.'
Historical Background
The Book of Revelation was written by John the Apostle near the end of his life, likely between AD 95-96 during Emperor Domitian's reign. The audience was primarily early Christian communities facing persecution, and it reflects Jewish apocalyptic traditions.
Living It Out Today
In modern times, this verse reminds us to respect and honor God in our actions, especially when we face challenging decisions or judgment from others. For example, if you're at school and tempted to cheat on a test, remember that God sees everything and will judge rightly.
