Revelation 21:6
Armenian Eastern Bible 1994
What Does This Mean?
In this verse from Revelation, Jesus is speaking and says that He will give freely to those who thirst the water of life from a fountain. He identifies Himself as Alpha and Omega, meaning He is the beginning and end.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're really thirsty on a hot day, and someone offers you a big glass of cold lemonade for free! That's what Jesus is saying here—he’s offering us something even better than lemonade to quench our thirst forever!
Historical Background
This verse was written by the Apostle John around 95 AD. It was addressed to seven churches in Asia Minor, and its message of hope and salvation resonated deeply within early Christian communities facing persecution.
Living It Out Today
In today's world, this can apply when someone is going through a tough time or feels spiritually dry; Jesus offers the 'water of life' freely, promising comfort and renewal no matter what they've been through.
