Dalam pertandingan ini, hendaklah mata kita terus memandang ke depan, yaitu kepada Yesus. Dialah Perintis dan Pahlawan Iman yang terutama bagi kita, dan yang sudah menyelesaikan pertandingan-Nya dengan sempurna. Yesus tabah menahan penderitaan yang sangat memalukan di kayu salib karena Dia terus memandang ke depan, kepada sukacita yang sudah disediakan bagi-Nya di kemudian hari. Sekarang Dia duduk menantikan kita di tempat yang paling terhormat di samping takhta Allah.
