Matthew 13:13
Korean Catholic 2005
이 구절의 의미
Jesus is explaining why he teaches in parables. He says that even though people see and hear, they do not truly understand what he is teaching.
어린이를 위한 설명
Imagine you have a friend who doesn't pay attention when you speak. Even if your friend hears your words, they don’t really get the message. Jesus talks in stories so that those who are ready to listen can understand better.
역사적 배경
Matthew wrote this verse around AD 80-90 for Jewish Christians living in a predominantly Greek-speaking area of the Roman Empire. The audience would have been familiar with parables as a teaching method used by rabbis and would appreciate Jesus' use of them to convey deeper truths.
오늘의 적용
In today's world, we can apply this verse when someone is trying to communicate an important message but finds that others are not really listening or understanding. It might be time to explain things in a different way, using stories or analogies they can relate to.
