God tells Moses to stretch out his hand towards the sky so that hail will fall all over Egypt, affecting all people, animals, and plants. This is part of the plagues God sends to convince Pharaoh to let the Israelites go free.

Imagine if your mom or dad told you to wave your hand in the air, and suddenly there was a big storm with ice falling from the sky. That's what God asked Moses to do to show Pharaoh He was serious about freeing the Israelites.

The Book of Exodus was written by Moses around 1446 BC. It was written for the Israelites to understand God's covenant with them and His mighty acts to free them from slavery in Egypt.

This verse shows how God can control natural elements to achieve His purposes. Today, when faced with seemingly insurmountable challenges, we can trust that God has the power to intervene and bring about His will, just as He did in Egypt.
