Ezekiel 40:5
Korean 1961 (개역한글)
이 구절의 의미
In this verse, Ezekiel sees a wall around a house and a man with a special measuring stick, which is six cubits long. The man uses this stick to measure the width and height of the building, both of which are one reed long. This describes the beginning of Ezekiel's vision of the future temple.
어린이를 위한 설명
Imagine you're building a sandcastle and you want to make sure it's the right size. You might use a ruler to measure it. Ezekiel saw someone doing something like that, but with a really big stick, and they were measuring a big building. This is how Ezekiel knew how big the building was supposed to be.
역사적 배경
Ezekiel, a prophet, wrote this during his exile in Babylon around 593-571 BC. The audience was primarily the exiled Israelites who were longing for a return to Jerusalem and the rebuilding of the temple. The cultural setting was one of despair and hope for restoration.
