Halleluja! Pris Herrens navn, syng lovsang, Herrens tjenere,

dere som gjør tjeneste i Herrens tempel, i forgårdene til vår Guds hus!

Pris Herren, for han er god, lovsyng hans navn, for det er herlig!

For Herren har utvalgt Jakob, gjort Israel til sin eiendom.

Ja, jeg vet at Herren er stor, vår Herre er større enn alle guder.

Alt han vil, det gjør han i himmelen og på jorden, i havet og alle de store dyp.
7
Han lar skyer stige opp fra jordens ende, skaper lyn, lar regnet falle og sender vinden fra dens opplagsrom.

Han slo de førstefødte i Egypt, både av folk og fe.
9
Han sendte tegn og gjorde under i landet ditt, Egypt, mot farao og alle hans tjenere.

Han slo ned mange folkeslag og gjorde ende på sterke konger:

amorittenes konge Sihon, kong Og i Basan og alle kongene i Kanaan.

Han gav deres land til odel og eie for Israel, sitt folk.

Herre, evig består ditt navn, slekt etter slekt kommer deg i hu.

For Herren skaffer sitt folk rett, har medynk med sine tjenere.

Folkenes gudebilder er av sølv og gull, et verk av menneskehender.
16
De har munn, men kan ikke tale, de har øyne, men kan ikke se.
17
De har ører, men kan ikke høre, det er ikke pust i deres munn.
18
Slik blir også de som lager dem, og alle som setter sin lit til dem.

Israels ætt, lov Herren, Arons ætt, lov Herren!

Levis ætt, lov Herren, lov Herren, dere som frykter ham!
21
Lovet være Herren fra Sion, han som bor i Jerusalem! Halleluja!
