Til korlederen. En sang. En salme. La hyllingsrop lyde for Gud, hele jorden,

og syng om hans herlige navn! Lovsyng Guds herlighet
3
og si til ham: «Hvor fryktinngytende dine gjerninger er!» Din makt er så stor at dine fiender kryper for deg.
4
Hele jorden skal bøye seg og tilbe deg, de skal spille for deg og prise ditt navn.
5
Kom og se Guds gjerninger! Det står age av ham når han gjør sitt verk blant menneskene.
6
Han gjorde sjøen til tørt land, gjennom elven gikk de til fots. La oss da glede oss i ham!
7
Han rår for evig med velde og holder øye med folkeslag; opprørere skal ikke reise seg.
8
Folkestammer, pris vår Gud, la lovsangen lyde høyt for ham,
9
han som holder oss i live og ikke lar våre føtter vakle.
10
For du har satt oss på prøve, Gud, og renset oss, som de renser sølv.
11
Du lot oss gå i garnet og la en bør på våre hofter.
12
Du lot mennesker fare fram over våre hoder, vi måtte gå gjennom ild og vann. Men du førte oss ut og gav oss overflod.
13
Jeg kommer med brennoffer til ditt hus, jeg vil innfri mine løfter til deg,
14
de løfter som kom over mine lepper, og som jeg gav da jeg var i nød.
15
Jeg gir deg gjøfe til brennoffer og lar røken av værer stige opp til deg, jeg ofrer både okser og bukker.
16
Kom hit og hør, alle dere som frykter Gud, så skal jeg fortelle hva han har gjort mot meg.
17
Fra min munn steg ropet til ham, og på min tunge var det lovsang.
18
Hadde jeg hatt urett i sinne, ville Herren ikke ha hørt meg.
19
Men Gud har sannelig hørt! Han lyttet til mitt bønnerop.
20
Lovet være Gud som ikke avslo min bønn og ikke tok sin miskunn fra meg.
