Ndebele Bible - 2010
What Does This Mean?
This verse from 1 John 3:2 tells us that we are God's children now, and though we don't yet know what we will become, when Jesus returns, we will look like him because we will see him as he truly is.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're a caterpillar. You're part of the butterfly family, but right now, you can’t see how amazing you’ll be when you turn into a butterfly. One day, you'll grow wings and look just like your mom or dad butterfly!
Historical Background
The Apostle John wrote this letter around 90-100 AD to early Christians in Asia Minor. He reassures them of their identity as God's children amidst persecution.
Living It Out Today
Consider someone struggling with low self-esteem. This verse reminds that they are valuable because they belong to God, and even if they can't see it now, they will one day be transformed into the image of Christ.
