Jeremiah 35:15
Ndebele Bible - 2010
What Does This Mean?
God is speaking through Jeremiah to the people, saying He has sent many prophets to warn them to stop worshipping other gods and turn from their evil ways. He promised them they could continue to live in the land if they listened, but they ignored Him.
Explained for Children
Imagine you have a friend who keeps telling you not to eat all the cookies before dinner, but you keep ignoring them. God is like that friend, sending many messengers to tell the people to stop doing bad things, but they don't listen.
Historical Background
Jeremiah wrote this around 600 BC, during a time when the Jewish people were turning away from God and worshipping other gods. He wrote to the people of Judah, warning them of the consequences of their actions.
Living It Out Today
Today, if someone keeps ignoring advice from their friends or mentors about making better life choices, they might face serious consequences. Just like the people in the Bible, we need to listen to those who give us good advice.
