John wrote this Gospel around 90-100 AD for a community of Christians who were facing increasing opposition from Jewish religious authorities. Nicodemus was part of the Pharisees, an influential group within Judaism that respected traditional laws and teachings.
Living It Out Today
In today's world, we can apply this by recognizing the signs of God in our lives or others', like unexpected kindness or miracles big and small. It challenges us to acknowledge when something is beyond human capability and consider where it might come from.
