Bendiz ó minha alma o Senhor, sem esquecer nenhum dos seus benefícios.

É ele quem perdoa todas as minhas culpas e cura todas as minhas enfermidades;
4
é ele quem me resgata do túmulo e me enche de amor e ternura;
5
é ele quem cumula de bens a minha vida e me dá a agilidade duma águia.
6
O Senhor defende com justiça todos os que sofrem violências.
7
Deu a conhecer os seus caminhos a Moisés e as suas obras aos filhos de Israel.
8
O Senhor é bondoso e compassivo; é paciente e cheio de amor.
9
Não está sempre a repreender-nos, nem a sua ira dura para sempre;
10
não nos tratou segundo os nossos pecados nem nos retribuiu segundo as nossas transgressões.
11
Tão grande é o seu amor pelos que o temem como é distante o céu da terra.
12
Ele afasta de nós os nossos pecados, tanto como o oriente está afastado do ocidente.
13
O Senhor é tão terno para os que o temem como um pai para com os seus filhos.
14
Ele sabe bem aquilo que nós somos; não se esquece que somos apenas pó.
15
A vida dos homens é como a erva; brota como a flor do campo,
16
mas, quando o vento sopra sobre ela, deixa de existir e já nem se conhece o seu lugar.
17
Mas o amor do Senhor é eterno para os que o temem e a sua justiça permanece de geração em geração,
18
para os que cumprem a sua aliança e não deixam de obedecer aos seus mandamentos.
19
O Senhor estabeleceu o seu trono nos céus e domina sobre tudo o que existe.
20
Bendigam o Senhor os seus fortes e poderosos mensageiros, que cumprem as suas ordens e lhe obedecem.
21
Bendigam o Senhor os exércitos celestes, que são seus servidores e fazem a sua vontade!
22
Bendigam o Senhor todas as suas criaturas, pois tudo está sob o seu domínio! Bendiz ó minha alma o Senhor!
