Não por nós, Senhor, não por nós, mas pelo teu bom nome manifesta o teu poder, tendo em conta o teu amor e fidelidade!

Se não, os pagãos vão continuar a perguntar: «Onde está o vosso Deus?»

Mas o nosso Deus, lá do céu, faz tudo aquilo que lhe apraz.
4
Os ídolos deles são ouro e prata, objetos fabricados por mãos de homens:
5
têm boca, mas não falam; e olhos, mas não veem;
6
têm ouvidos, mas não ouvem; e nariz, mas não cheiram;
7
têm mãos, mas não apalpam; e pés, mas não andam; das suas gargantas não sai qualquer som!
8
Que aqueles que os fizeram e creem neles se tornem semelhantes a esses ídolos.
9
Que os israelitas confiem no Senhor! Porque ele os ajuda e protege.
10
Que os sacerdotes de Deus confiem no Senhor! Porque ele os ajuda e protege.
11
Que os crentes em Deus confiem no Senhor! Porque ele os ajuda e protege.
12
O Senhor lembrou-se de nós e nos abençoará! Abençoará o povo de Israel, abençoará os seus sacerdotes,
13
abençoará os crentes no Senhor, tanto pequenos como grandes.
14
Que o Senhor vos aumente a descendência, bem como a descendência dos vossos filhos.
15
Que o Senhor, que fez o céu e a terra, vos dê a todos a sua bênção!
16
O céu pertence apenas ao Senhor, mas a terra confiou-a aos homens.
17
Não são os mortos que louvam o Senhor, nem os que descem ao mundo do silêncio.
18
Mas nós, os vivos, louvaremos o Senhor, agora e para sempre. Aleluia!
