Ao diretor do coro. Cântico e Salmo. Aclamem a Deus com alegria, habitantes de toda a terra!

Cantem hinos ao seu nome glorioso, proclamem os seus louvores
3
e digam: «As tuas obras são maravilhosas, ó Deus! O teu poder é tão grande que os teus inimigos se curvam aterrados perante ti.
4
Toda a terra te adora e canta louvores; todos cantam hinos ao teu nome.»

Venham ver as obras de Deus, as maravilhas que ele fez diante dos homens:
6
converteu o mar em terra seca; os nossos antepassados atravessaram o rio a pé. Alegremo-nos por isso!
7
Com o seu poder governa para sempre; com os seus olhos, vigia as nações, para que os rebeldes não se levantem contra ele.
8
Povos, bendigam o nosso Deus! Façam ouvir hinos em seu louvor!
9
É ele quem salva as nossas vidas e não permite que os nossos pés resvalem.
10
Ó Deus, puseste-nos à prova; purificaste-nos como se faz à prata!
11
Fizeste-nos cair na armadilha; sobrecarregaste-nos demais.
12
Fizeste cavalgar homens sobre as nossas cabeças; passámos pelo fogo e pela água, mas, por fim, trouxeste-nos alívio.
13
Hei de oferecer sacrifícios no teu templo, e pagarei as minhas promessas,
14
promessas que eu próprio te fiz, quando estava em aflição.
15
Queimarei no teu altar animais gordos; hei de oferecer-te carneiros, novilhos e cabritos.
16
Venham ouvir, todos os que temem a Deus! Contar-lhes-ei aquilo que ele fez por mim!
17
Chamei-o pedindo-lhe auxílio; louvei-o com cânticos.
18
Se eu tivesse feito algum mal, o Senhor não ouviria a minha voz.
19
Mas Deus ouviu-me e atendeu a minha oração.
20
Bendito seja Deus, que não rejeitou a minha oração nem me faltou com a sua bondade.
