Em ti, Senhor, procuro refúgio; não deixes que eu fique confundido.

Livra-me e protege-me, tu que és justo! Digna-te escutar-me e salva-me!

Sê tu a minha proteção e o meu refúgio, tu que prometeste vir sempre em meu auxílio. Tu és o meu rochedo e a minha fortaleza!
4
Livra-me, meu Deus, das mãos do homem mau, das mãos do opressor e do violento,
5
pois tu, Senhor, desde a juventude tu és minha esperança e confiança.
6
Em ti encontro amparo, desde o ventre de minha mãe; desde o nascimento tu me sustentas! Louvar-te-ei para sempre!
7
Sou motivo de assombro para muitos, porque tu és o meu refúgio.
8
A minha boca não para de te louvar; todo o dia proclamo a tua glória.
9
Não me desprezes na velhice; não me desampares, quando já não tiver forças.
10
Os meus inimigos falam contra mim; os que querem matar-me conspiram,
11
e dizem: «Deus abandonou-o; persigam-no, agarrem-no, que ninguém o pode salvar!»
12
Ó Deus, não te afastes de mim; meu Deus, vem depressa em meu socorro!
13
Sejam confundidos e destruídos os que atentam contra a minha vida! Sejam postos a ridículo os que querem a minha desgraça!
14
Eu, porém, esperarei continuamente e hei de louvar-te cada vez mais.
15
Todo o dia anunciarei que nos salvaste e contarei os teus atos de justiça, apesar de eles serem incontáveis.
16
Eu entrarei na fortaleza do teu santuário, ó Senhor, e proclamarei que só tu és justo!
17
Instruíste-me, ó Deus, desde a minha juventude e continuo a anunciar os teus prodígios.
18
Agora, que estou velho e de cabelos brancos, ó Deus, não me abandones, pois tenho que contar, a esta geração e às que hão de vir, o teu poder e a tua força.
19
A tua generosidade, ó Deus, é tão grande como o céu; fizeste grandes coisas, ninguém é como tu!
20
Ainda que me tenhas feito passar por muitos males e aflições, hás de dar-me nova vida e farás com que eu saia das profundezas da terra.
21
Aumentarás a minha honra aproximando-te para me reconfortares.
22
Por isso, quero louvar-te ao som da harpa, louvar a tua fidelidade, meu Deus; quero cantar-te ao som da cítara, ó Deus santo de Israel.
23
Vibrarei de alegria, ao cantar-te salmos vibrará todo o meu ser, que tu salvaste.
24
Falarei da tua generosidade todo o dia, pois ficaram confundidos e cheios de vergonha os que procuravam fazer-me mal.
