Salmo e cântico para o dia de sábado.

Como é bom dar-te graças, ó Senhor, cantar hinos em tua honra, ó Altíssimo!

É bom anunciar pela manhã o teu grande amor e à noite a tua fidelidade,

ao som da lira e da cítara, e com música suave da harpa.
5
Os teus grandes feitos, Senhor, dão-me alegria! As tuas obras fazem-me cantar de felicidade!
6
Senhor, como são magníficas as tuas obras, como são profundos os teus pensamentos!
7
Só os insensatos é que não entendem isto e os estúpidos não percebem nada.
8
Os homens maus crescem como a erva e florescem os que praticam a maldade, mas ele destrói-os para sempre.
9
Mas tu, Senhor, és eternamente grande.
10
De facto, Senhor, os teus inimigos serão destruídos, todos os malfeitores serão derrotados.
11
Aumentaste a minha força, como a de um búfalo; abençoaste-me com o óleo da felicidade.
12
Eu vi a derrota dos meus inimigos e ouvi os gritos dos que queriam fazer-me mal!
13
Os justos florescem como palmeiras e crescem como os cedros do Líbano.
14
Como árvores plantadas na casa do Senhor, eles florescem nos átrios do nosso Deus.
15
Até na velhice darão frutos e hão de manter-se sempre fortes e sadios,
16
proclamando que o Senhor é reto. Deus é o meu protetor e nele não há injustiça.
