Tashelhayt Morocco 1998 (Tashelhayt Arabic Script Morocco) (اغاراس ن-تودرت - ءينجيل لّماسيح - لعهد لّجديد لّي-يسكر ربّي غ-گراس د-بنادم)
What Does This Mean?
Jesus is saying that if He is lifted up on the cross, He will draw all people to Himself. Jesus is speaking here and promises that His sacrifice will bring everyone to Him.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're at a playground and there's a big slide. When someone goes down the slide, it makes other kids want to try it too. Jesus says if He is lifted up like going down a very special slide, all people will want to come to Him.
Historical Background
John wrote this Gospel around A.D. 90-100 for early Christians who needed encouragement and teaching about the life of Christ. The statement reflects the cultural belief that lifting someone high would make them visible to many.
Living It Out Today
When facing difficult situations, remember Jesus' sacrifice on the cross draws all people to Him. For instance, during times of hardship or when feeling isolated, you can find comfort in knowing He invites everyone to come closer to Him.
