Potom mi zaznelo slovo Hospodinovo:

Človeče, o čo je vinič viac ako iné stromy, ako ratolesť medzi stromami lesa?

Možno vziať z neho drevo a použiť ho na výrobok? Či vezmú z neho klin na zavesenie náčinia?

Ohňu sa dáva na strávenie. Keď oheň strávil oba jeho konce a jeho stred zotlel, či je súci na niečo?

Kým bol celý, nedal sa použiť na nič; tým menej potom môže sa použiť na niečo, keď ho strávil oheň a keď zotlel.

Preto takto vraví Hospodin, Pán: Ako býva vinič medzi stromami lesa, ktoré som vydal ohňu na strávenie, tak som vydal obyvateľov Jeruzalema.

Upriem svoju tvár proti nim: z ohňa vyšli, ale oheň ich pohltí! Potom poznáte, že ja som Hospodin, keď obrátim svoju tvár proti vám.

A krajinu zmením na pustatinu, pretože sa dopúšťali nevernosti - znie výrok Hospodina, Pána.
