Pre hudobný prednes. Dávidov. Žalm. Ó Bože mojej chvály, neodmlčuj sa!

Lebo sa otvorili na mňa ústa bezbožné a podvodné, jazykom lživým hovorili so mnou.
3
Nenávistnými slovami ma obkľúčili a bez príčiny broja proti mne.
4
Za moju lásku sú mi nepriateľmi, a ja sa modlím.
5
Za dobré sa mi odplácajú zlým, za moju lásku nenávisťou.
6
Ustanov nad ním bezbožníka, nech mu žalobca stojí po pravici.
7
Nech ako vinník vyjde zo súdu, nech je hriechom aj jeho modlitba.
8
Jeho dní nech je čím menej a nech iný prevezme jeho úrad.
9
Nech osirejú jeho synovia, manželka nech mu ovdovie.
10
Jeho synovia nech sa túlajú a žobrú, zahnaní od svojich rumovísk.
11
Nech mu veriteľ zaberie všetko, čo má, nech mu cudzí ulúpia jeho imanie.
12
Nech mu nikto nezachová priazeň, ani zmilovanie jeho sirotám.
13
Buď vyplienené jeho potomstvo, ich meno vytreté už v druhom kolene.
14
Buď vina jeho otcov v pamäti u Hospodina, hriech jeho matky nech nie je zotretý;
15
nech sú stále pred Hospodinom, ich pamiatku nech vyhladí aj zo zeme,
16
pretože nepamätal na dôkaz lásky, prenasledoval úbožiaka a chudobného, aby usmrtil skrúšeného srdcom.
17
Miloval kliatbu, nech príde naňho; záľubu nemal v požehnaní - nech sa vzdiali od neho.
18
Kliatbu si obliekal sťa oblek, nech vnikne do neho sťa voda, do jeho kostí ako olej;
19
nech mu je oblekom, ktorým sa halí, a pásom, ktorým sa vždy opasuje.
20
To nech je odplata od Hospodina mojim žalobníkom, tým, čo zle vravia proti mne.
21
Ale Ty, Hospodine, Pane, nalož so mnou kvôli svojmu menu; vytrhni ma, lebo dobrá je Tvoja milosť!
22
Lebo som úbohý a chudobný a srdce vo mne ranené.
23
Zachodím ako tieň, keď nakláňa sa, preháňaný som ako kobylky.
24
Kolená sa mi podlamujú od pôstu a telo bez oleja mi schudlo.
25
Ja som im na posmech; vidia ma, potriasajú hlavou.
26
Pomôž mi, Hospodine, Bože môj! Zachráň ma podľa svojej milosti;
27
nech sa dozvedia, že to Tvoja ruka, že si to Ty urobil, Hospodine.
28
Oni nech preklínajú - Ty však požehnávaj! Ak povstanú, nech sa zahanbia, a služobník Tvoj nech sa raduje.
29
Nech si moji žalobníci oblečú potupu, do svojej hanby nech sa halia ako do plášťa.
30
Ústami svojimi Hospodinovi budem veľmi ďakovať, uprostred mnohých chváliť Ho.
31
Lebo chudobnému stojí po pravici, aby ho zachránil pred tými, čo ho súdia.
