Ee nafsi yangu, umhimidi BWANA. Wewe, BWANA, Mungu wangu, Umejifanya mkuu sana; Umejivika heshima na utukufu.

Umejivika nuru kama vazi; Umezitandika mbingu kama pazia;
3
Na kuziweka nguzo za ghorofa zake majini. Huyafanya mawingu kuwa gari lake, Na kwenda juu ya mabawa ya upepo,
4
Huwafanya malaika zake kuwa pepo, Na watumishi wake kuwa moto wa miali.
5
Uliiweka nchi juu ya misingi yake, Isitikisike milele.
6
Uliifunika kwa vilindi kama kwa vazi, Maji yalikuwa yakisimama juu ya milima.
7
Kwa kukemea kwako yakakimbia, Kwa sauti ya radi yako yakaenda zake kasi,
8
Yakapanda milima, yakateremka mabondeni, Mpaka mahali ulipoyatengenezea.
9
Umeweka mpaka yasiupite, Wala yasirudi kuifunikiza nchi.
10
Hupeleka chemchemi katika mabonde; Zapita kati ya milima;
11
Zamnywesha kila mnyama wa porini; Kwayo punda mwitu huzima kiu yao.
12
Kandokando hukaa ndege wa angani; Na kuimba wakiwa katika matawi.
13
Huinywesha milima toka juu angani; Nchi umeitosheleza kwa mazao ya kazi zako.
14
Huotesha majani kwa ajili ya wanyama, Na maboga kwa matumizi ya mwanadamu; Ili atoe chakula katika nchi,
15
Na divai imfurahishe mtu moyo wake. Aung'aze uso wake kwa mafuta, Na mkate umburudishe mtu moyo wake.
16
Miti ya BWANA nayo imetoshelezwa maji, Mierezi ya Lebanoni aliyoipanda.
17
Humo ndege hujenga viota vyao, Korongo, anayo makao katika misonobari.
18
Milima mirefu ndiko waliko mbuzi wa mwitu, Na magenge ni kimbilio lao wibari.
19
Aliufanya mwezi kwa ajili ya nyakati, Jua latambua kuchwa kwake.
20
Wewe hufanya giza, kukawa usiku, Ndipo atambaapo kila mnyama wa mwitu.
21
Wanasimba hunguruma wakitaka mawindo, Wakitafuta chakula chao kutoka kwa Mungu.
22
Jua linapochomoza, wanakwenda zao, Na kujilaza mapangoni mwao.
23
Mwanadamu atoka kwenda zake kazini, Na kwenye utumishi wake mpaka jioni.
24
Ee BWANA, jinsi yalivyo mengi matendo yako! Kwa hekima umevifanya vyote pia. Dunia imejaa viumbe wako.
25
Bahari iko kule, kubwa na pana, Ndimo mlimo viendavyo visivyohesabika, Viumbe hai wakubwa kwa wadogo.
26
Ndimo zipitamo merikebu, Ndimo alimo Lewiathani uliyemwumba acheze humo.
27
Hao wote wanakungoja Wewe, Uwape chakula chao kwa wakati wake.
28
Wewe huwapa, Wao wanakiokota; Wewe waukunjua mkono wako, Wao wanashiba mema;
29
Wewe wauficha uso wako, Wao wanafadhaika; Waiondoa pumzi yao, wanakufa, Na kuyarudia mavumbi yao,
30
Waituma roho yako, wanaumbwa, Nawe waufanya upya uso wa nchi.
31
Utukufu wa BWANA na udumu milele; BWANA na ayafurahie matendo yake.
32
Aitazamaye nchi, ikatetemeka; Aigusaye milima, ikatoka moshi.
33
Nitamwimbia BWANA maadamu ninaishi; Nitamshangilia Mungu wangu nikiwa hai;
34
Kutafakari kwangu na kuwe kutamu kwake; Maana furaha yangu hutoka kwa BWANA.
35
Wenye dhambi waangamizwe katika nchi, Watendao ubaya wasiwepo tena. Ee nafsi yangu, umhimidi BWANA.
