Ee Mungu wa sifa zangu, usinyamaze,

Uovu wa baba zake ukumbukwe mbele za BWANA, Na dhambi ya mamaye isifutwe.

Ziwe mbele za BWANA daima, Aliondoe kumbukumbu lao duniani.

Kwa kuwa hakukumbuka kutenda fadhili, Bali alimfukuza mnyonge na mhitaji, Hata akamwua mtu aliyevunjika moyo,

Naye alipenda kulaani, nako kukampata. Hakupendezwa na kubariki, kukawa mbali naye,
18
Alijivika laana kana kwamba ni vazi lake. Ikamwingilia moyoni kama maji, Na kama mafuta mifupani mwake.
19
Na iwe kwake kama vazi ajivikalo, Na kama mshipi ajifungao daima.
20
Ndiyo malipo ya washitaki wangu toka kwa BWANA, Na ya hao wanaoisingizia nafsi yangu mabaya.
21
Na Wewe, MUNGU, Bwana, unitendee kwa ajili ya jina lako, Kwa kuwa fadhili zako ni njema uniokoe.
22
Kwa maana mimi ni mnyonge na mhitaji, Na moyo wangu umejeruhiwa ndani yangu.

Ninapita kama kivuli kianzacho kutoweka, Ninapeperushwa kama nzige.

Magoti yangu yamedhoofu kwa kufunga, Na mwili wangu umekonda kwa kukosa mafuta.

Nami nimekuwa wa kudharauliwa na watu, Wanionapo hutikisa vichwa vyao.

Ee BWANA, Mungu wangu, unisaidie, Uniokoe kulingana na fadhili zako.

Nao wakajue ya kuwa huu ni mkono wako; Wewe, BWANA, umeyafanya hayo.

Waache walaani, bali Wewe utabariki, Wanaonishambulia na waaibishwe, Naye mtumishi wako afurahi.

Washitaki wangu watavikwa fedheha, Na wavikwe aibu yao kama joho.
30
Nitamshukuru BWANA kwa kinywa changu, Naam, nitamsifu katikati ya mkutano.

Maana atasimama mkono wa kuume wa mhitaji Amwokoe kutoka kwa wanaoihukumu nafsi yake.
