Ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, Mungu wa majeshi, hata lini utazikasirikia sala za watu wako?

Umefanya huzuni iwe chakula chetu; umetunywesha machozi kwa wingi.
6
Umetufanya tuwe dharau kwa jirani zetu; maadui zetu wanatudhihaki.
7
Ee Mungu wa majeshi, uturekebishe, utuangalie kwa wema, nasi tutaokoka.
8
Ulileta mzabibu kutoka Misri; ukawafukuza watu wa mataifa mengine, na kuupanda katika nchi yao.
9
Uliupalilia upate kukua, nao ukatoa mizizi na kuenea kote nchini.
10
Uliifunika milima kwa kivuli chake, na matawi yake yakawa kama mierezi mikubwa.
11
Matawi yake yalienea mpaka baharini; machipukizi yake mpaka kando ya mto Eufrate.
12
Mbona ulibomoa kuta zilizouzunguka? Sasa kila apitaye anachuma zabibu zake;
13
nguruwe mwitu wanauharibu, na wanyama wa porini wanautafuna!

Utugeukie tena ee Mungu wa majeshi. Uangalie toka mbinguni, uone; ukautunze mzabibu huo.
15
Uulinde mche ulioupanda kwa mkono wako; hilo chipukizi uliloimarisha wewe mwenyewe.
16
Watu walioukata na kuuteketeza, uwatazame kwa ukali, waangamie.
17
Mkono wako umkinge huyo uliyemfadhili; huyo uliyemteua kwa ajili yako.
18
Hatutakuacha na kukuasi tena; utujalie uhai, nasi tutakusifu.
19
Ee Mwenyezi-Mungu wa majeshi uturekebishe; utuangalie kwa wema, nasi tutaokoka.
