Jinsi gani yanavyopendeza makao yako, ee Mwenyezi-Mungu wa majeshi!

Nafsi yangu yatamani mno maskani ya Mwenyezi-Mungu! Moyo na mwili wangu wote wamshangilia Mungu aliye hai.

Hata shomoro wamepata makao yao, mbayuwayu wamejenga viota vyao, humo wameweka makinda yao, katika madhabahu zako, ee Mwenyezi-Mungu wa majeshi, Mfalme wangu na Mungu wangu!
4
Heri wale wanaokaa nyumbani mwako, wakiimba daima sifa zako.
5
Heri watu wanaopata nguvu zao kwako, wanaotamani kwenda kuhiji mlimani kwako.
6
Wapitapo katika bonde kavu la Baka, hulifanya kuwa mahali pa chemchemi, na mvua za vuli hulijaza madimbwi.
7
Wanaendelea kupata nguvu zaidi na zaidi; watamwona Mungu wa miungu huko Siyoni.
8
Usikie sala yangu ee Mwenyezi-Mungu wa majeshi; unitegee sikio, ee Mungu wa Yakobo.
9
Ee Mungu, umwangalie kwa wema ngao yetu mfalme, umtazame huyo uliyemweka wakfu kwa mafuta.
10
Siku moja tu katika maskani yako, ni bora kuliko siku elfu mahali pengine; afadhali kusimama mlangoni pa nyumba yako, kuliko kuishi nyumbani kwa watu waovu.
11
Mwenyezi-Mungu ni jua letu na ngao yetu; yeye hutuneemesha na kutujalia fahari. Hawanyimi chochote kilicho chema, wale waishio kwa unyofu.
12
Ee Mwenyezi-Mungu wa majeshi, heri mtu yule anayekutumainia wewe!
