Nampenda Bwana, kwa kuwa husikia, huisikia sauti yangu, nikimlalamikia.

Kwa kuwa hunitegea nami sikio lake, kwa hiyo nitamwitia siku zangu zote.

Matanzi ya kifo yalikuwa yameninasa, masongano ya kuzimu yakanipata, kwa kuona masikitiko nikasongeka.
4
Nikalililia Jina la Bwana ya kwamba: Wewe Bwana, iopoe roho yangu!
5
Bwana ni mwenye utu na mwenye wongofu, kwa kuwa Mungu wetu hutuonea uchungu.
6
Walio kama wachanga Bwana huwalinda; nilipokuwa mnyonge, aliniokoa.
7
Rudi, roho yangu, kwenye kituo chako! Kwani Bwana ndiye aliyekutendea mema.
8
Maana umeiopoa roho yangu katika kufa, ukafuta machozi machoni pangu, ukaishika miguu yangu, isijikwae.
9
Kwa kumtazamia Bwana nitaendelea vivyo hivyo katika nchi zao walio hai.
10
Nilikuwa nimemtegemea, kwa hiyo na niseme! Lakini nimeteseka sana mimi nami.
11
Hapo, niliposhikwa na woga, nilisema mimi: Watu wote walioko ni wenye uwongo.
12
Nitawezaje kumrudishia Bwana mema yote, aliyonitendea?
13
Nitakiinua kinyweo chenye wokovu, kisha nitalitambikia Jina lake Bwana.
14
Nitamlipa Bwana, niliyomwapia, wote walio ukoo wake wavione na macho yao.
15
Ni jambo kuu machoni pa Bwana, wamchao wakifa.
16
Mimi nakuomba, Bwana, mimi mtumishi wako, mimi mtumishi wako ni mwana wa mjakazi wako, nawe umenifungulia mafungo yangu.
17
Nitakutolea wewe vipaji vya tambiko vya kukushukuru, kisha nitalitambikia Jina lake Bwana.
18
Nitamlipa Bwana, niliyomwapia, wote walio ukoo wake wavione na macho yao,
19
katika nyua zake Nyumba ya Bwana, katikati mjini mwako, wewe Yerusalemu. Haleluya!
