Exodus 29:34
Tatar Crimean 2016 Bible - Къырымтатарджа [Crimean Tatar] (Мукъаддес Китап)
What Does This Mean?
This verse from Exodus instructs that any leftover consecrated meat or bread from the ceremony must be burned by morning, not eaten, because it is holy. Moses is giving these instructions to Aaron and his sons.
Explained for Children
Imagine you have a special snack for a big party. If there’s any left in the morning, you can’t eat it anymore. Instead, you burn it because it was part of something very special and holy, like a party with God.
Historical Background
Exodus was written by Moses, around 1446 BC, detailing instructions for the Israelites on how to properly conduct religious ceremonies. This verse is part of the instructions given for the ordination of priests.
Living It Out Today
Today, we might think of this in terms of special rituals or ceremonies in our lives. Just as the Israelites treated leftover consecrated items with respect, we should treat our rituals and ceremonies with the same reverence and care.
