Đức Chúa Trời sai một thiên sứ đến để hủy diệt Giê-ru-sa-lem. Nhưng khi thấy thiên sứ đang hủy diệt thì Đức Giê-hô-va liền đổi ý về tai họa nầy, và truyền cho thiên sứ đang hủy diệt: “Đủ rồi! Hãy dừng tay lại.” Bấy giờ, thiên sứ của Đức Giê-hô-va đứng gần sân đập lúa của Ọt-nan, người Giê-bu-sít.
