What Does This Mean?
In this verse from the Bible, Paul says that we should always feel confident because while our bodies are here on Earth, our true home is with God in heaven. He's talking to Christians who might worry about being separated from God by their physical presence.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're playing outside but you know your parents are at home waiting for you. Even though they aren't right there with you, you feel safe because you'll go back to them soon. Paul is saying we should feel the same way about going to heaven when we leave our bodies.
Historical Background
The letter of 2 Corinthians was written by Apostle Paul around 53-57 AD to the church in Corinth. At that time, the Corinthian believers were facing challenges and uncertainties, and this verse provides them with assurance and hope.
