Jeremiah 45:5 — English NASB (New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995)
'But you, are you seeking great things for yourself? Do not seek them; for behold, I am going to bring disaster on all flesh,' declares the LORD, 'but I will give your life to you as booty in all the places where you may go.'"
What Does This Mean?
In this verse, God is speaking to Jeremiah, warning him not to seek great things for himself because God is bringing evil upon all people. However, God promises to protect Jeremiah's life wherever he goes.
Explained for Children
Imagine you want to get the best toy, but God says, 'Don't worry about that, I'm going to protect you no matter where you go.' That's what God is telling Jeremiah here.

Living It Out Today
